Ritual Abuse in the UK – Laurie Matthew (Transcript of PowerPoint) https://ritualabuse.us/smart-conference/2021-conference/ritual-abuse-in-the-uk-laurie-matthew/

Survivors of ritual and organised abuse have increasingly broken silence to protect children, raise awareness, challenge abusers and institutions and demand services for recovery with varying success worldwide. Her presentation will focus on the challenges, experiences and perspectives of ritual abuse survivors in the UK and parts of Europe over the past 30 years and explore the current situation in the UK.

Deliberate Disinformation in the Orkney Ritual Child Abuse Case – Sarah Nelson OBE https://ritualabuse.us/smart-conference/2021-conference/deliberate-disinformation-in-the-orkney-ritual-child-abuse-case-sarah-nelson/

The Orkney child abuse case, a notorious and highly publicised case in the UK from 1991 – 1992, had the 30th anniversary in February this year of nine children being removed into care in “dawn raids” by police and social workers. After claims by three children from another family on South Ronaldsay, part of these northerly Scottish islands, about strange outdoor rituals and organised sexual abuse, grounds for action against their middle class parents and a clergyman referred to “group sexual activity, including ritualistic music, dancing and dress”. Six weeks later a Scots sheriff called the charges “fatally flawed” and dismissed the case without even hearing the evidence. The children were returned home in a blaze of international publicity. The evidence has never been tested to this day in any criminal or civil court; the parents were considered innocent, receiving an apology and financial compensation afterwards.

Mind Control and How to Stop it – Neil Brick (Transcript of PowerPoint) https://ritualabuse.us/smart-conference/2021-conference/mind-control-and-how-to-stop-it-neil-brick/

This presentation will explain how mind control and different suggestive techniques work in a variety of individual and public settings. These will include interpersonal relationships, abusive relationships, ritual abuse settings, social media, political manipulation and hypnosis. Ways to expose and prevent mind control will be discussed. Social views of mind control will be presented.

Self-Esteem – Wendy Hoffman https://youtu.be/EIsaM5otQ7k  Please note: We apologize for the poor quality of this video, which may be difficult for survivors and others to listen to at times. A video with similar information is available at: https://youtu.be/MSdXT2q5Q_4

Programming turns you away from your true self. Programmers and even satanic families do everything they can to make their victims feel bad about themselves, debasing them in every way possible. Deprived of the self-esteem that others take for granted makes surviving victims more vulnerable to programming lies. The hardest job is surviving satanic mind control while receiving little or no compassion, empathy or love. The second hardest job is healing from it. This healing is crucial if you want to belong to yourself, find out who you are, make your own decisions and life choices. It is hard work to explore what perpetrators put in innocent minds. This presentation addresses a preparatory step for this healing work. Before you begin, and even as you proceed, even after you finish, work on assessing how you really are as an individual, your courageous strengths and abilities. This workshop discusses ways survivors can achieve a truer picture of who they are, as well as ways their therapists and supporters can help them.

Dissociation of Identity and Trained Trauma-Mediated Behaviors Presenter: Randy Noblitt

Dissociation of Identity and Trained Trauma-Mediated Behaviors 2021 Randy Noblitt – PowerPoint

Dissociation of identity (DI) is a construct proposed (Noblitt & Perskin, 1995; Noblitt & Noblitt, 2000, 2014) to account for some individuals’ experiences and enactments of multiple selves. People who meet the diagnostic criteria for dissociative identity disorder, or other specified dissociative disorder, examples 1, 2, or 4 may also show evidence of DI. The more popular theories of dissociative identity disorder suggest that it is a response to overwhelming trauma or disorganized attachment, but some individuals with DI also report a history of deliberate abuse that involved training to respond with dissociative behaviors to various cues and signals in a ritualized context. This presentation will review the empirical literature related to the credibility of ritual abuse allegations, and provide a clinical methodology for the evaluation and treatment of survivors with behaviors that may be the result of circumscribed traumatic training.

Randy Noblitt is a clinical psychologist and professor of clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. He is the principle author of Navigating Social Security Disability Programs: A Handbook for Clinicians and Advocates (2020) as well as Cult and Ritual Abuse: Narratives, Evidence and Healing Approaches, 3rd Edition (2014). He is the co-editor and a contributor to Ritual Abuse in the Twenty-first Century: Psychological, Forensic, Social and Political Considerations (2008).

The Orkney child abuse case, a notorious and highly publicised case in the UK from 1991 – 1992, had the 30th anniversary in February this year of nine children being removed into care in “dawn raids” by police and social workers. The evidence has never been tested to this day in any criminal or civil court; the parents were considered innocent, receiving an apology and financial compensation afterwards.
The case delivered a hammer blow to child protection against sexual abuse from which it has still not recovered. Anniversaries of the case are replayed in most media complete each time with substantial disinformation, and ridicule and dismissal of “satanic abuse” allegations. This presentation will summarise the main features of the case and describe the elaborate untruths and disinformation created around it from the start.

Dr. Sarah Nelson OBE (Universities of Edinburgh) has written and presented widely for decades on sexual abuse issues. Her research and publications include the voices of young survivors, critiques of current child protection systems, community prevention, ritual and organised abuse, media representations of abuse cases, and adult survivors’ experiences of mental and physical health services. She has also been a professional adviser to the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament. Her book Tackling Child Sexual Abuse: Radical approaches to prevention, protection and support (Policy Press, UK and University of Chicago press, USA)) was published in 2016.

Wendy Hoffman endured various forms of high level secret mind control, and consequently had amnesia for most of her life. She wants to help and support other survivors in their quests for freedom. Late in life, when she regained memory, she wrote books about what she had been forced to forget or dissociate. Among her published books are the memoirs, The Enslaved Queen (2014) and White Witch in a Black Robe (2015), as well Forceps, poems about the birth of the self (2016), and a co-authored book of essays with Alison Miller, From the Trenches (2018). Her third memoir, A Brain of My Own with an Afterword by Alison Miller is forthcoming. She has a LCSW-C and decades of experience, a MA and MFA. https://ritualabuse.us/smart/wendy-hoffman/

You’re Not Who They Said You Are: My Battles For Freedom and Justice Through Perseverance and Exposing the Truth

Presenter: Olivia

In this presentation, she gave a broad overview of surviving 40 plus years of satanic ritual abuse and mind control. Her primary focus will be on the past four years when she made the decision and commitment to reclaim her core identity, at all costs. She believes that all survivors possess a spirit of resiliency that enabled them to live through the traumas the first time and with that same resiliency they have what they need to fight for their own truth and to take back their own life. Her journey to freedom and healing has not been absent of pain, fear, grief, loss and rejection, to name a few. It was her conscious decision to fight back and to pursue vindication not only for herself but for other survivors and has been key in her process to healing.

Olivia is a survivor of satanic ritual abuse and mind control at the government level. Through her own experiences, she has gained extensive knowledge into many elements that encompass and keep intact such an evil and complex system. With courage, perseverance and commitment into her own journey to freedom and healing, she has chosen to break her own silence and to be the voice for the many survivors who have not yet been heard and are far too afraid to be seen. Her mission in life is to educate others based on her experiences and to be an advocate for those who are suffering and remain largely misunderstood, silenced and, too often, rejected. Olivia’s desire is to use her story as a source of strength, determination and compassion with the hopes of shedding light into the darkness that she has known all too well.

The Survivorship Ritual Abuse and Mind Control 2019 Conference

May 8, 2019

The Survivorship Ritual Abuse and Mind Control 2019 Conference

Survivorship, an organization for survivors of ritual abuse, mind control and torture, had a conference last weekend in Long Beach, California.

LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA, USA, May 6, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Survivorship Ritual Abuse and Mind Control 2019 Conference was at the Courtyard Marriott in Long Beach California this year. Their regular conference for ritual abuse survivors and their helpers was on Saturday and Sunday May 4 – 5, 2019. Their Clinician’s Conference was opened to practitioners on Friday May 3, 2019. The conference was an excellent conference again this year, with many strong presentations.

At the Friday Clinician’s conference, there were presentations from Dr. Alison Miller, Dr. Randall Noblitt and Eileen Aveni, LMSW. LCSW. All three presenters are highly credentialed and well educated in their topics.

Dr. Alison Miller had a presentation about “Deception by Organized Abuser Groups: Helping Yourself and Your Clients Think Through the Issues.” She discussed how sophisticated organized abuser groups use torture to deliberately split a child’s mind into different parts, train all parts to obey, and indoctrinate and train each part to do a specific job assigned by the abusers. Different techniques are used to deceive and control the children and prevent them from remembering or speaking out about their abuse, even in adulthood, so that the abusers can continue perpetrating this abuse without being caught. Abusers’ power over victims depends on their victims believing their lies, and that power can be diminished when victims see through the lies told to their young parts. It is important for therapists to use critical thinking to discern the deceptions, and to help their mind-controlled clients do the same.

Dr. Randall Noblitt discussed: “The Use of Music and other Auditory Stimuli in Psychological Therapy with Extreme Abuse Survivors.” He discussed how extreme abuse (EA) survivors often listen to music for enjoyment, relaxation, and emotion regulation. Some music and other auditory stimuli also have the capacity to trigger a variety of responses including states of adaptive containment, being shut down, identity switching, abreactive responses, trance, automatisms, and flashbacks. The presentation will discuss some of the uses for music and other sounds in therapy with survivors in the context of the ISSTD’s three stage treatment model for dissociative identity disorder.

Eileen Aveni discussed “The Complexities of Identifying Ritual Abuse and Mind Control in Your Client.” She talked about how the recognition of ritual abuse and mind control in survivors is complex, as they often present with clues that are not obvious to a clinician unfamiliar with this more complex and severe type of trauma. Her presentation provided an overview of the clinical features and clues that ritual abuse and mind control may be present in the background of a client and an introduction to government and cult mind control programming.

At the Saturday and Sunday conference, speakers included Neil Brick, Dr. Randall Noblitt, Eileen Aveni and Dr. Alison Miller.

Neil Brick discussed “A Survivor’s View of Recovery from Ritual Abuse.” He talked about how recovery from ritual abuse can take many years. He talked about how recovery may include working through memories, building functionality and developing more effective ways of interacting and integrating emotions. Every individual has different experiences that lead them through the recovery path. He discussed his long journey healing from severe abuse. This included ways he learned more about himself, ways he learned to develop healthier interactions with others and ways he helped others along the recovery path.

Dr. Noblitt discussed “Talking About Triggers Without Being Triggering.” His presentation was an interactive discussion about triggering phenomena, with the intent of avoiding causing triggered responses in one another. He discussed how such a conversation is possible when we do not use triggers explicitly, when we use synonyms, euphemisms, or other roughly equivalent stimuli that communicate without provoking a response. Triggers can include gestures, words, music, sounds, pictures, colors, etc. Many triggers are not provocative unless they are repeated or paired with other triggers.

Survivorship, an organization for survivors of ritual abuse, mind control and torture, will be having a conference from May 3 – 5, 2019 at the Courtyard Marriott in Long Beach, California. The purpose of the conference is to help survivors of ritual abuse and their allies. The conference is for survivors, co-survivors, supporters and helping professionals.

At their clinician’s conference on Friday May 3, 2019, Dr. Alison Miller will present on the topic of Deception by Organized Abuser Groups: Helping Yourself and Your Clients Think Through the Issues. She will discuss how abusers’ power over victims depends on their victims believing their lies, and that power can be diminished when victims see through the lies. She will discuss how it is important for therapists to use critical thinking to discern the deceptions, and to help their clients do the same.

Alison Miller, Ph.D. is a retired clinical psychologist who practised in Victoria, B.C., Canada and worked with survivors of organized abuse, including ritual abuse and mind control from 1990 to 2017. She is the author of Healing the Unimaginable: Treating Ritual Abuse and Mind Control (for therapists), Becoming Yourself: Overcoming Mind Control and Ritual Abuse (for survivors), and co-author with survivor Wendy Hoffman of From the Trenches: A Victim and Therapist Talk about Mind Control and Ritual Abuse.

Dr. Randall Noblitt will also present at the clinician’s conference. His topic is The Use of Music and other Auditory Stimuli in Psychological Therapy with Extreme Abuse Survivors. Extreme abuse (EA) survivors often listen to music for enjoyment, relaxation, and emotion regulation. Some music and other auditory stimuli also have the capacity to trigger a variety of responses. Although clinicians who work with survivors often hear about, or observe these phenomena, there is little discussion of them in the clinical literature. This presentation will discuss some of the uses for music and other sounds in therapy with survivors.

Randy Noblitt, PhD, is a clinical psychologist (licensed in Texas) and professor of clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. In the course of his practice, Randy has treated more than 300 individuals who met the criteria for dissociative identity disorder. He is the principle author of Cult and Ritual Abuse: Its History, Anthropology and Recent Discovery in Contemporary America (Praeger, 1995. 2000), and its third edition, Cult and Ritual Abuse: Narratives, Evidence and Healing Approaches (Praeger, 2014). He is also co-editor and contributing author of the book, Ritual Abuse in the 21st Century: Psychological, Forensic, Social and Political Considerations (Robert Reed, 2008).

Survivorship will have several speakers at the regular weekend conference on Saturday and Sunday May 4 – 5, 2019.

Dr. Alison Miller will present on Deception by Organized Abuser Groups: Helping Your Front People and Your Insiders Recognize the Lies and Tricks Which Keep You Enslaved. If you are a survivor of abuse by a mind-controlling abuser group, you have parts who have been trained to obey abusers because they believe lies your abusers told you. If you learn to recognize when your emotions and behavior are influenced by these deceptions, and to discover the ways in which you were deceived, you can increase your freedom from the abuser group.

Dr. Randall Noblitt will present on Talking About Triggers Without Being Triggering. This presentation is an interactive discussion about triggering phenomena, with the intent of avoiding causing triggered responses in one another. Being able to discuss triggers without being triggering (or triggered) is one way that survivors can develop their own sense of empowerment.

Joseph Lumbasi will present on Barriers encountered by RA Survivors when accessing Support in Offline Spaces (Services). As a support organisation for RA survivors in the UK, Izzy’s Promise has been continuously carrying out research with its service users to identify barriers encountered and how best to overcome such barriers. Since 2002 when Izzy’s Promise was set up, they have commissioned a variety of research projects with abuse support organisations and ritual abuse (RA) survivors to identify how best to improve support services. His intention is to analyse results from research endeavours to present to delegates at the conference and publish the findings into a journal article.

Joseph Lumbasi is a dual citizen of Kenya and Britain, educated up to postgraduate level. A graduate of Sociology, Geography, Health Research, Child and Adult Protection and currently a PhD student at the University of Dundee School of Education and Social Work. He has worked in different sectors of the economy, as a media researcher specialising on issues surrounding cultural abuse and violation of human rights e.g. female genital mutilation, trafficking of children and women locally and internationally by use of ritual oaths for purposes of prostitution and other inhuman issues. Joseph is presently the Manager of Izzy’s Promise and a PhD Student at the University of Dundee. He co-authored a journal article (Lumbasi, J., & Barron, I. (2016). Male Survivor Perceptions of Seeking Support: Hermeneutic Analysis of a Cluster Case Study. International Journal of Social Work, 3(1), 91.

Neil Brick will present on A Survivor’s View of Recovery from Ritual Abuse. Recovery from ritual abuse can take many years. Every individual has different experiences that lead them through the recovery path. Neil Brick will discuss his long journey healing from severe abuse. This will include ways he has learned more about himself, ways he has learned to develop healthier interactions with others and ways he has helped others along the recovery path.

Neil Brick is a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control. His work continues to educate the public about child abuse, trauma and ritual abuse crimes. His child abuse and ritual abuse newsletter S.M.A.R.T. https://ritualabuse.us has been published for over 23 years. http://neilbrick.com
