Survivorship Announces its 2021 Ritual Abuse and Mind Control Online Conference Speakers

This year’s speakers include Neil Brick, Wendy Hoffman and Ellen Lacter.

The conference will focus on being a survivor or clinician in a changing world.

Regular Conference – Saturday and Sunday May 22 – 23, 2021

Clinician’s Conference – Friday May 21, 2021

Conference information: https://survivorship.org/the-survivorship-ritual-abuse-and-mind-control-2021-conference/

Neil Brick will speak about Mind Control and How to Stop it. This presentation will explain how mind control and different suggestive techniques work in a variety of individual and public settings. These will include interpersonal relationships, abusive relationships, ritual abuse settings, social media, political manipulation and hypnosis.

Neil Brick is a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control. His child abuse and ritual abuse newsletter S.M.A.R.T. https://ritualabuse.us has been published for over 25 years. http://neilbrick.com  Research Page on Neil Brick https://ritualabuse.us/smart/neil-brick/

Wendy Hoffman will speak about Self-Esteem. Programming turns you away from your true self. Programmers and even satanic families do everything they can to make their victims feel bad about themselves, debasing them in every way possible. The hardest job is surviving satanic mind control while receiving little or no compassion, empathy or love.

Wendy Hoffman endured various forms of high level secret mind control, and consequently had amnesia for most of her life. She wants to help and support other survivors in their quests for freedom.. Research Page on Wendy Hoffman https://ritualabuse.us/smart/wendy-hoffman

Dr. Ellen Lacter will speak about One Hundred Children: A Parable for Healing from Dissociation-savvy Mind Control. Based on intensive therapy with survivors of ritual abuse and mind control and extensive interviews with colleagues who are survivor-activists and survivor-therapists, she has written a parable with 15 fictionalized examples of programming of dissociated child identities that describe common kinds of tactics used in programming.

Dr. Lacter will also speak about Production of Sadistic Child abuse Materials: Psychology of the Victims and Perpetrators. Children are being subjected to increasingly sadistic abuse within the production of child abuse materials on the dark web. Victims are often very young and likely to develop a multitude of dissociated self-states.

Ellen Lacter is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice. She has been publishing and presenting on ritual abuse for 20 years. In more recent years, she has also developed expertise in treating victims of the production of sadistic child abuse materials. For Those Who Condemn Themselves for Acts Coerced Under Torture
Presenter: Ellen Lacter, Ph.D.

Synopsis: One of the most disturbing horrors described by survivors of extreme abuse is having been subjected to torture to coerce them, while being tortured, to harm or kill other victims. Many survivors describe clear memories of first being subjected this form of abuse as young children. The subsequent moral injury is devastating. This workshop will explain how specific torture methods predictably work to coerce victims to harm and kill others; the various psychological responses of victims while they are being coerced to harm others; and abuser methods to coerce victims to harm others outside of immediate torture. This workshop will assign all guilt, shame, and moral responsibility for coerced harm to the perpetrators who execute the torture and will work to help survivors stand in solidarity with other survivors of extreme abuse to do everything in their power to to overcome all self-condemnation for having been coerced through torture to harm other victims. Participants will be provided with a list of statements by the speaker and participants in the clinicians conference proclaiming the innocence of victims coerced to harm others under torture. Note: Survivors should carefully consider beforehand whether to attend this workshop as the material is extremely painful.

Ellen P. Lacter, Ph.D., is a Psychologist and Academic Coordinator of the Play Therapy Certificate Program at University of California- San Diego, Division of Extended Studies. She specializes in the treatment of dissociative disorders and complex trauma, including victims of ritualistic abuse and mind control, has published on this subject, and is an activist on behalf of victims and survivors based in her website: https://endritualabuse.org/. She has also written: A Coloring Book of Healing Images for Adult Survivors of Child Abuse, illustrated by Robin Baird Lewis and Jen Callow (2015).

In the course of his practice, Randy has treated more than 300 individuals who met the criteria for dissociative identity disorder. He is the principle author of Cult and Ritual Abuse: Its History, Anthropology and Recent Discovery in Contemporary America (Praeger, 1995. 2000), and its third edition, Cult and Ritual Abuse: Narratives, Evidence and Healing Approaches (Praeger, 2014). Changes in Awareness of Severe Abuse and Child Abuse Crimes Over Twenty Five Years

Presenter: Neil Brick
The awareness of severe abuse and child abuse crimes has changed over the last 25 years. In the early 1990s, severe abuse survivors were often believed and supported. Then a backlash started and severe abuse survivors and their supporters were harassed and attacked. The child abuse survivor movement changed and adapted. Ten years ago, research began again to help expose severe abuse crimes. More recently, first in the UK and Australia and now in the United States, a variety of child abuse, severe abuse, sexual harassment and rape cases are bringing public awareness again to the mainstream media of severe abuse crimes. This presentation will discuss the changes of the last 25 years, with an emphasis on the more recent exposures of organized child abuse crimes and social systems that have been part of the cover up of these crimes.

Neil Brick is a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control. His work continues to educate the public about child abuse, trauma and ritual abuse crimes. His child abuse and ritual abuse newsletter S.M.A.R.T. https://ritualabuse.us has been published for over 22 years. http://neilbrick.com

How to Decrease In-Fighting and Increase Respect for the Gifts of All Internal Parts
Presenter: Eileen Aveni
Understanding one’s internal system is critical to helping every internal part work together for true safety and healing. Often internal parts are at odds with each other (such as higher level alters, reporter alters, persecutor/protector alters, and other internal alters) because they are used to ‘doing their jobs” and following orders. But they are really allies in the system and can be helped to learn better and more effective ways to keep everyone in the system safe and help heal the system. The focus will be on how to communicate with parts who might seem particularly difficult to work with, learn to recognize their true gifts to the internal system, how to develop a community of mutual respect, and eventually lead the system to safety and wholeness.

Eileen Aveni, LMSW, LCSW, ACSW, BCD specializes in working with dissociative identity disorder with a focus on ritualized abuse and mind control. For almost 30 years she has worked alongside other major treatment specialists teaching and training clinicians and community groups on the major issues of these survivors and how to help and support them. She created and led an 8-year long-term therapy for DID/RA/MC survivors, and helped create and run a safe-house for RA/MC survivors for several years. She regularly presents and consults nationally and internationally. She was the 2016 Chair of the Ritual Abuse and Mind Control Special Interest Group, a division of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Survivorship, a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, the National Center for Crisis Management, and is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work.

Ethics, the Community Standard, and the Credibility of Ritual Abuse Allegations
Presenter: Randy Noblitt, PhD
Synopsis: To what extent do mental health and other helping professionals believe the stories of ritual abuse survivors? This presentation systematically reviews the empirical research on the credibility of ritual abuse allegations. After presenting the findings there will be a discussion that welcomes the opinions of the attendees regarding their own conclusions including considerations of the community standard, professional ethics, related forensic questions, and advocacy for extreme abuse survivors.

Introduction to Using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy with Clients with DID

Presenter: Cynthia Henrie, MFT
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a body-oriented, talking therapy developed in the 1980s by Pat Ogden, informed by the work of Ron Kurtz (1990) and the Rolf Method of Structural Integration (Rolf 1987) and enriched by the contributions from the fields of attachment, neuroscience, and dissociation. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy blends cognitive and emotional approaches, verbal dialogue, and physical interventions that directly address the implicit memories and neurobiological effects of trauma. By using bodily experience as a primary entry point in trauma therapy, rather than the events or the “story,” we attend to how the body is processing information, and its interface with emotions and cognitive meaning-making. A Sensorimotor Psychotherapy approach is a useful tool in the work of treating survivors of ritual abuse, mind control and Dissociative Identity Disorder. When used mindfully, Sensorimotor Skills can aid in building a sense of safety and “belonging” within one’s own body. It can help inform both the client and clinician of different alter experiences in their own physical space, and is a useful approach that aids in resolving traumatic experiences, decreasing dissociation and grieving developmental wounding in an individual’s life experience. This is an introduction to the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy approach and some of the ways it can be useful in the treatment of Dissociative Disorders and survivors.

Cynthia Henrie, MFT, is a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress, a Feminist Therapist and specializes in the treatment of trauma and dissociation. Ms. Henrie is the founder and director of the Los Angeles Therapy Network, a network of private practice therapists whose mission is to help women through feminist empowerment, trauma survivors, persons with Dissociative Identity Disorder, LGBTQIA issues, rape/sexual assault, human trafficking/slavery and torture. Ms. Henrie graduated from Antioch University with her MA in Clinical Psychology with a Focus on Adolescence & Feminist Therapy. She is trained in the treatment of trauma and dissociation through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, is a Level II EMDR Practitioner and has completed two years of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which focuses on the treatment of trauma and developmental attachment problems. She is also Sandplay Practitioner. Ms. Henrie is the cofounder of the Los Angeles Dissociative Disorder Study Group, along with Randy Noblitt, PhD which is held at Alliant University.

Presenter: Ellen Lacter, Ph.D.
Synopsis: One of the most disturbing horrors described by survivors of extreme abuse is having been subjected to torture to coerce them, while being tortured, to harm or kill other victims. Many survivors describe clear memories of first being subjected to this form of abuse as young children. The subsequent moral injury is devastating. This workshop will educate therapists about the methods of torture that predictably work to coerce victims to harm and kill others; the various psychological responses of victims while they are being coerced to harm others; abuser methods to coerce victims to harm others outside of immediate torture, and how to work with survivors and their self-states to overcome the consequent moral injury, including specific things to say that the speaker has found can make a difference and developing more of these together with participants in this workshop.

Shattered but Unbroken: Voices of Triumph and Testimony
Editor : Amelia van der Merwe, Editor : Valerie Sinason

Shattered but Unbroken is an edited volume focusing on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), which combines the narratives of survivors of ritual abuse with academic contributions on the causes, correlates and interventions applicable to DID.

The book is divided into two distinct parts.

Part I begins with the missing memoir of Anna, a survivor of ritual abuse. Anna chose not to publish her memoir for fear of retribution from her perpetrators. The plight of Anna is interwoven between all the contributions in the book, be they life writing or academic contributions. So too are the life writings of Annalise, writing under pseudonym. Instead of using Anna’s memoir, the politics of anonymity is addressed by a range of survivors of ritual abuse, who write about their decision to use their real name in their narratives, or to use pseudonyms.

Part II of the book contains academic contributions, which deal with the causes, correlates and interventions applicable to the most common response to ritual abuse, DID. These include a range of topics, such as the history of DID, cross-cultural perspectives, DID’s saturation with shame, debates and controversies around this diagnosis, and its relationship to culture and memory, a South African qualitative study, co-morbidity and selected reflections on its treatment, among other contributions.  http://us.karnacbooks.com/product/shattered-but-unbroken-voices-of-triumph-and-testimony/37395/

Forceps: Poems about the Birth of the Self by Wendy Hoffman
The search for my true past came in distinct waves. This collection of poems includes some from the long period when I knew something was drastically wrong but didn’t consciously know what that was and some from the breakthrough when I discovered my never-bloomed self. The poems cover the outskirts of my awakening, my plowing through and arrival in the middle of awareness. When dissociated memories and emotions exploded inside, eventually they filtered into a poem. The horror transmuted itself. These poems are that record.  I have regained a real, not imposed, self. http://us.karnacbooks.com/product/forceps-poems-about-the-birth-of-the-self/38047/

EXCLUSIVE: Child rape victim comes forward for the first time in 40 years to call Hillary Clinton a ‘liar’ who defended her rapist by smearing her, blocking evidence and callously laughing that she knew he was guilty
‘Hillary Clinton is not for women and children,’ says Kathy Shelton, 54, who was 12 years old when she was raped by Thomas Alfred Taylor in Arkansas
Clinton was the rapist’s defense lawyer,  pleading him down to ‘unlawful fondling of a minor’
The 41-year-old drifter served less than a year in prison
The plea came after Clinton was able to block the admission of forensic evidence that linked her client to the crime
Shelton says she’s furious that Clinton has been portraying herself as a lifelong advocate of women and girls on the campaign trail
Clinton accused Shelton of ‘seeking out older men’ in the case and demanded that she undergo a grueling court-ordered psychiatric examination
The presidential candidate later laughed while discussing aspects of the case in a recently-unearthed audiotaped interview from the 1980s

TRAFFICKED is the first truly global, authentic feature film on human trafficking. Around the world, millions of vulnerable girls are being ensnared by human traffickers into the insidious world of sex slavery and exploited relentlessly to generate profits of one hundred billion dollars per year. That is more than the annual profits of Google, Microsoft, Nike and Starbucks combined. Inspired by real characters from the award-winning book ‘Sex Trafficking’ by leading slavery expert Siddharth Kara, this is the story of three such girls from America, Nigeria and India. After being trafficked through an elaborate global network of illicit human, organ, and drug trafficking, all three girls end up as sex slaves in a brothel in Texas, where they must band together to attempt to reclaim their dignity and freedom.

THE BRAINWASHING OF MY DAD
A film by Jen Senko
A filmmaker examines the rise of right-wing media through the lens of her father, whose immersion in it radicalized him and rocked the foundation of their family. As filmmaker, Jen Senko, tries to understand the transformation of her father from a non political, life-long Democrat to an angry, Right-Wing fanatic, she uncovers the forces behind the media that changed him completely: a plan by Roger Ailes under Nixon for a media takeover by the GOP, The Powell Memo urging business leaders to influence institutions of public opinion, especially the universities, the media and the courts, and under Reagan, the dismantling of the Fairness Doctrine.

FBI Unlikely to Proceed with Brad Pitt Child Abuse Investigation, Source Says
The FBI is unlikely to proceed with an investigation into the allegations of child abuse against Brad Pitt, a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE.
Pitt, 52, is accused of being “verbally abusive” and getting “physical” with son Maddox, 15, while he and wife Angelina Jolie were returning from France to their L.A. home on a private plane on Sept. 14.
An investigation into the alleged incident has been launched by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services after it was reported anonymously. It is ongoing. The case was also referred to the FBI under special aircraft jurisdiction, as the incident occurred mid-flight.
A source with knowledge of the situation previously told PEOPLE that Pitt did not strike Maddox but rather, “made contact” with him “in the shoulder area.”
“There was absolutely no physical injury to him,” the source explained.
Pitt was allegedly drunk, and arguing with Jolie. The source told PEOPLE, “There was a parent-child argument which was not handled in the right way and escalated more than it should have.”….

Becoming Yourself: Overcoming Mind Control and Ritual Abuse by Alison Miller
Audio versions

Becoming Yourself: Overcoming Mind Control and Ritual Abuse – part 1 – YouTube http://bit.ly/2cB7ZUv
Becoming Yourself: Overcoming Mind Control and Ritual Abuse – part 2 – YouTube http://bit.ly/2cV9B85
In contrast to the author’s previous book, Healing the Unimaginable: Treating Ritual Abuse and Mind Control, which was for therapists, this book is designed for survivors of these abuses.
It takes the survivor systematically through understanding the abuses and how his or her symptoms may be consequences of these abuses, and gives practical advice regarding how a survivor can achieve stability and manage the life issues with which he or she may have difficulty.
The book also teaches the survivor how to work with his or her complex personality system and with the traumatic memories, to heal the wounds created by the abuse.
A unique feature of this book is that it addresses the reader as if he or she is dissociative, and directs some information and exercises towards the internal leaders of the personality system, teaching them how to build a cooperative and healing inner community within which information is shared, each part’s needs are met, and traumatic memories can be worked through successfully.
